What’s new with Daniel?
I promised myself I wouldn’t post anything new until I had something positive to report. Unfortunately, things are pretty scary right now in chelationland. Since starting the whole chelation process (and this is true for both the NDF+ and our brief trial of DMPS), Rubén has been frighteningly aggressive. Scratching and pinching our hands, necks, and faces. Not good. He just seems really unhappy in general. Our suspicion is that he’s moving more metals around than he can excrete. I’ve had the feeling lately that we’re right on the cusp of an amazing breakthrough, but you sure wouldn’t know it lately. We’re talking about doing quite a bit more testing before we proceed. In the meantime, we’re dialing the dose way way down.
So, to tide you over while he’s on the mend, here are a couple of little tidbits about what’s going on in my own life. I rarely post anything off the topic of Rubén, since my life and his wellbeing are generally pretty synonymous. But there have been a couple of happenings that don’t relate to my strapping lad in any way, and I figured I’d share.
First, you may recall that I mentioned the desire to drop some weight, and in fulfillment of that desire I made the commitment to abstain from all sweets (especially that insidious temptress Chocolat) and then play DDR each and every morning as an exercise regimen. The former I’ve adhered to with zero infractions, the latter somewhat less so. In choosing between much needed sleep and much needed exercise, I’ll almost always opt for the additional Z’s. At any rate, I’ve been at this for nearly a month, and have successfully dropped six pounds thus far from my ample frame. Only 34 to go…
The second bit of news has been coming for some time now, but I officially signed the contract this week, so it’s fitting I mention it now. I’m an author. Or at least I’m going to be. I’ve contractually committed myself to writing 500 pages about Camtasia Studio and its many uses, a computer program of which I’m regarded to be something an expert. After cranking out said pages, the good folks at Wordware Publishing are going to take them, bind them together, and send them out into the world. This will be the first published book ever on this particular application, a fact that both excites and frightens me. I just hope there’s enough demand out there not to make this Herculean effort a total embarrassment in the end. A royalty check in the four- or five-digit arena wouldn’t hurt, either…

Congrats on the book!
Jen and I have joined Weight Watchers - and it’s really doing good things for me. I lost five lbs in two weeks - it’s worth taking a look at.

Hi,
Saw that you took your son to Dr. Usman. We have been through the Dr. turnstyle for years now. Dr Usman is relatively close to our home. Would you recommend her?
